We also replaced the older servo and spindle drives, but, we continued to use the Inductosyn scales with newer interface electronics. Two types of sensors have been used; limit switches and proximity sensors . One such upgrade, Fidia’s Velocity Five multi-axis trajectory control technology, provides a dynamic-selectable set of roughing and finishing parameters. A laser maintains the Rotation Tool Center Point function, which is another feature that the Fidia control software manages.
