Japanese Soba Shizuoka

On the 17th of every month, "Salt Reduction Day," we visit each district community center to measure the salt content of food brought by local residents. The shop owner Chie Yarimizu said, We are very particular about using all natural ‘dashi’. The flavor of ‘dashi’ must be adjusted as natural ingredients vary from one to another. Sense of taste may be affected by one’s condition; thus, using ATAGO’s concentration meter (PAL™-05S) is beneficial.
But, even though I was thinking about and performing the two parts separately, the audience is looking at me as if I am some rarely blessed being from whom the words and the body movement flow in perfect unison. When in truth, my performance was an attempt to somehow bring together the words and movement I had torn apart once and match them up again within myself. This made me feel quite uncomfortable, as if I might be deceiving the audience. So, I decided that if I was going to start another theater group, I wanted to create works that showed a separation of words and body movement in a clear form. This also became the reason that later, I came to think of the job of the director as one of helping the actors search for the relationship between the words and the body movement in their acting. I asked for tempura, but instead of letting me eat tempura with mentsuyu, it is a polite job that comes with tempura properly. A soba restaurant that has been around for over 170 years, starting from a stall during the Tenpo era. And more than all others in this season of late March/early April, Japanese people enjoy cherry blossom in bloom. As of today March 26th, they are 30-40% in bloom in Tokyo.
Without the best ingredients, the best buckwheat noodles can not be provided... Totenkaku Royal Chinese Restaurant has over seventy years of history and is a long standing Chinese restaurant. The main restaurant uses the mansion known as ‘Ijinkan’ which was originally built as a residence for a man of German descent F.

You can savor this famous view from a variety of viewpoints, including Moto-Hakone, the Hakone Detached Palace Garden, and of course the numerous sightseeing boats that ply the lake.
They are stewed with sweetened soy sauce until all the ingredients get soft. You can enjoy a rich variety of taste and texture just in one dish. In addition to the delicious tempura made with local ingredients, eat as much as you want of chasoba noodles in the delicious broth. My first soba experience was at this restaurant; I learnt how to mix the dipping sauce with some of the hot cooking water from the noodles which they give you in a jug. They also make tea from the cooking water due to its many health properties which is provided complimentarily for all diners; it has an almost savory flavor which I personally enjoy.
”Tsukiji-Maguroya-Teio-Don” is the emperor of tuna donburi with an unbelievable amount of fish on top. Various choices for set menus and a-la-carte that is only available in a direct marked of a fish store can be enjoyed. Enjoy soba noodles in a calm atmosphere with a jazz background music. Nihachi-soba (soba noodles prepared with 20% of udon powder). Musashino-Udon used in here is sent by the owner’s parents and makes you addicted to its thickness and chewy texture.

But current main buildings were built in the early 18th century and they are well preserved. Japanese people, as they do in other places, make a long line and wait in a long time in order to come to the front of the main building and pray for the gods. And Nezu, one of Yanesen areas, is famous for a shrine, Nezu shrine, as well as a traditional shopping street.
It also has an all-you-can-eat “Menma” and “Kimchi” bar, making it a very reasonable and delicious ramen restaurant. After enjoying the best oysters and whiskey at Oyster Bar Pitresk, I had a sumptuous charcoal barbecue lunch at “Charcoal Grill Aburiya” in Conchiglie. At the seafood market adjacent to Charcoal Grill Aburiya, one can purchase oysters and other seafood, meat, and vegetables, which are then grilled over charcoal. There are more than 70 different ingredients to choose from at the seafood market.

So, we thought, if we were going to have the same thing happen in the arts, what area could we do it in? Because, people who don’t know each other’s origins come together to build the cities. That was a theory I had been nurturing inside me for some time and our Theater School proved to me that I can say it now 熱海ランチ with assurance. In Japan, the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center is unprecedented for its scale and contents. Could we begin by having you tell us about its set-up and how it is organized? There, SPAC’s actors, technical staff, directors and production staff are involved in creative activities on a daily basis.
